Welcome to the latest edition of the Lit Daily's In-House Litigation Leaders series where we focus on lawyers making the hiring decisions, shaping the strategies and managing the caseloads at some of the nation's largest and most innovative companies.

Meet Stephen Mar, the San Francisco-based global head of litigation & investigations at co-working real estate company WeWork. Mar joined the company well before its initial, aborted 2019 initial public offering attempt, helped it navigate the litigation fallout, and was at his post to see WeWork successfully go public via a merger with a special-purpose acquisition company in October. He joined WeWork after working as a litigation associate at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and serving as a clerk to U.S. District Judge Janet Hall in the District of Connecticut.
