Reliable Robotics, a develop of autonomous cargo planes founded by former Tesla and SpaceX engineers, has hired Douglas Coleman as chief legal officer, the latest C-suite addition aimed at preparing the 4-year-old company for rapid growth.

Coleman’s hire comes as the company prepares for certification of its system for commercial cargo use. He has more than 30 years of experience in aerospace, defense and government. In his new role at Reliable Robotics, he will be responsible for managing the governance and compliance programs and growing the company’s intellectual property portfolio.
