Uber Fights To Keep Executives' Rape Lawsuit Depositions Secret

Uber's attorneys at Perkins Coie are trying to keep depositions from two executives under seal in a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, brought by a woman who got into the wrong car after calling an Uber and was sexually assaulted by the driver.

Perkins partners Julie Hussey and Julian Feldbein-Vinderman are citing an opinion piece about other, unsealed deposition in the New York Times that originally contained a fact error, saying if the depositions are de-designated "there is a real risk that the same distortion of the truth will occur."
