Court staff vacated a federal building in Oakland, California, after a nearby suspicious package was reported to authorities Wednesday.
Officials sent home court staff working in the Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse around 1 p.m., and the courthouse closed for the rest of the day, according to a representative for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
