McAfee, the computer security software company, and its board of directors were hit with a shareholder lawsuit Wednesday in California Northern District Court. The suit, filed by WeissLaw LLP on behalf of Catherine Coffman, pertains to the proposed acquisition of McAfee by an investor group led by Advent International Corporation for $12 billion. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 5:22-cv-00361, Coffman v. McAfee Corp. et al.
