The Biden administration will have two future vacancies to fill on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit after Judge Andrew Hurwitz announced his intention to take senior status Jan. 28.
Hurwitz, who is based in Arizona, is the second Ninth Circuit judge this month to announce plans to take senior status, following Judge M. Margaret McKeown on Jan. 11.
