My dad worked for the local NBC affiliate in Paducah, Kentucky, until I was nine. I grew up around a TV station and have always been fascinated by the work that broadcast journalists do.
Matching words to pictures in 30-to-90 second bursts to tell people about what's going on in the world—all while on incredibly tight deadlines—is quite the high-wire act.
