A federal judge delayed opening statements in the criminal fraud trial of former Theranos executive Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani due to a potential COVID-19 exposure in the courtroom.
U.S. District Judge Edward Davila of the Northern District of California in San Jose said proceedings would be delayed Wednesday morning because he was discussing how to proceed with counsel after the court learned of a potential COVID-19 exposure.
