Covington & Burling said last month it appointed its West Coast white-collar leader, Dan Shallman, to office managing partner in Los Angeles.

Shallman, a former federal prosecutor, joined Covington from O’Melveny & Myers in 2015. He was one of the first lateral partners brought on to help the firm launch in Los Angeles, and has played a pivotal role in the office’s trajectory.
