Intuit was slapped with a patent infringement lawsuit Tuesday in California Central District Court. The case was filed by McKool Smith on behalf of Samesurf Inc., which accuses Intuit of misappropriating its patented 'synchronized browsing' technology subsequent to a 2015 meeting in which Samesurf proposed licensing the technology for Intuit's TurboTax platform. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2:22-cv-02060, Samesurf, Inc. v. Intuit, Inc.
