Kate T. Spelman and Madeline P. Skitzki of Jenner & Block have stepped in to defend Burt's Bees and parent company Clorox in a pending consumer class action. The suit, filed March 25 in California Northern District Court by Bursor & Fisher and Richman Law & Policy, accuses the company of misleading customers by representing that Burt's Bees makeup is '100% Natural' when it contains synthetic per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Richard Seeborg, is 3:22-cv-01928, Spindel v. Burt's Bees, Inc. et al.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
