In a recent newsletter from TechGC, a community platform for venture capital funds and tech general counsel, Marc Miller shared advice for startups looking to build out their legal teams. “Generalists, generalists, generalists!” Miller wrote.

“What I love about startups is the ‘all hands on deck’ approach,” said Miller, vice president of legal at Domestika, a Spain-based startup that creates and sells online courses targeted at artists and crafters. “And for lawyers to truly be a partner in the business, we need to be willing and able to tackle anything that comes across our desk (or Slack channels).”
