Counsel at Jenner & Block on Wednesday removed a data privacy class action against Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and other social media platforms, to California Northern District Court. The suit, filed by Milberg Coleman Bryson Phillips Grossman and other plaintiff firms, accuses the defendant of violating the federal Video Privacy Protection Act by disclosing its digital subscribers’ personally identifiable information without the proper consent. The case is 4:22-cv–17103549, Walker v. Meta Platforms, Inc.
