DLA Piper announced that 74 lawyers have been promoted to its partnership. The promotions are effective as of April 1. Ian F. Hlatky has been promoted to partner in the firm’s Los Angeles (Century City) office. Hlatky focuses his practice on helping high-growth, technology-based companies across market sectors navigate the diverse corporate matters that arise throughout a company’s life cycle, from initial planning, formation and structuring, to seed, convertible debt and venture capital financing, to general corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions.

Seyfarth Shaw announced the arrival of partner Arnold E. Brown to its corporate department in San Francisco. Brown was most recently a shareholder at Schwabe, Williamson & WyattBrown’s practice focuses on corporate governance, commercial transactions, and complex intellectual property agreements for a large range of clients in the technology space. He represents nonprofit technology standards groups, open source software organizations and startup technology companies in the communications, consumer electronics, semiconductor, computing, blockchain and software industries.
