Amazon.com was hit with a consumer class action Thursday in California Northern District Court over Amazon-brand services and products available through subscription. The suit, brought by Bursor & Fisher, accuses Amazon of engaging in an automatic renewal scheme in which customer accounts are charged monthly or annually without the company providing the proper disclosures or authorizations. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 3:22-cv-02713, Nacarino et al v. Amazon.com, Inc.
