A three-judge state panel has declined to issue an order forcing San Francisco Superior Court to eliminate its COVID-19-related backlog of criminal cases.

Justices Stuart Pollak and Jon Streeter of the First District Court of Appeal and Alameda County Superior Court Judge Tara Desautels, sitting by assignment, issued their denial order Wednesday without an accompanying explanation.
