Nossaman has announced that Michael Gawley has joined the firm's health care group in the San Francisco office as a partner. He joins from Kessenick Gamma & Free. Gawley represents health care clients with a focus on litigation and dispute resolution. He has represented medical staffs, medical groups, independent practice associations, ambulatory surgery centers and other organizations involved in the provision of health care services. He leads a range of litigation matters including medical staff and peer review hearings, whistleblower claims, administrative enforcement actions, regulatory investigations, labor and employment disputes, reim­bursement actions with public and private payors and antitrust claims.

Goldberg Segalla announced that the firm has added Cindy E. David to the workers' compensation group in the Orange County office. David focuses her practice on counseling and defending insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators in complex workers' compensation matters. While attending the California Western School of Law, David worked as a law clerk, gaining experience preparing and drafting legal pleadings, opening and closing arguments, memoranda, various motions, and declarations. She also served as a volunteer law clerk for the Legal Aid Society as well as a local domestic violence clinic, where she performed and translated client interviews and drafted legal documents.
