Goodwin Procter may well be the only out-of-town firm to have accomplished a dominant presence in the tech sector that puts it in league with Silicon Valley's finest. The firm announced Friday that it is adding Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher finance partner Andrew Cheng in Santa Monica and Kirkland & Ellis private equity partner Andrew Kimball in Washington, D.C.
