The U.S. Senate on Thursday confirmed a new judge to the Southern District of California in San Diego, giving a lifetime appointment to a Jones Day of counsel and former federal prosecutor.

Senators voted 51-46 in favor of Robert Steven Huie. He’ll be the fourth judge to join the Southern District under President Joe Biden, with Linda Lopez, a magistrate judge, and Jinsook Ohta, a San Diego County Superior Court judge, confirmed in December. Ruth Bermudez Montenegro, also a magistrate, was confirmed in March.
