When accusations of inappropriate workplace behavior trigger the need for an investigation, how an employer handles the findings can have significant impacts on the individuals involved, general employee morale and public perceptions around the organization. Some investigations have sufficient evidence to support serious allegations, while others may find that there were no clear policy or legal violations. When that’s the case, an entity can still leverage findings to improve internal culture, addressing systemic or individual instances of discriminatory or abusive behavior.
