The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on Thursday ordered U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers to oversee nearly 100 lawsuits brought against Meta Platforms Inc., which operates Facebook and Instagram, and the companies behind Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube.

Nearly 100 lawsuits alleging that social media apps such as Facebook and TikTok caused addiction and mental health problems in adolescent users will be sent to a federal judge in Oakland, California, according to an order on Thursday.
