Karen Boyd, a founding partner of Turner Boyd, is being recognized as one of 20 Women Leaders in Tech Law as part of The Recorder’s California Legal Awards.

The intellectual property litigator entered a patent infringement case for biotechnology company BioSpyder Technologies Inc. after they had lost a motion to dismiss in the U.S. District Court of Arizona. Boyd won a motion to dismiss the trade secret misappropriation claims and several of the breach of contract claims, and subsequently knocked out the infringement allegations with a summary judgement motion.
