Nossaman announced that Tim Swickard has joined the firm's environment and land use group as a partner in the Sacramento office. He joins from Greenberg Traurig. Swickard focuses his practice on federal and state environmental regulatory compliance and litigation, real estate development, land use entitlement, environmental compliance, hazardous waste and water law. He represents recycling, environmental cleanup, transportation industry businesses, commercial and residential developers, Indian Nations, public agencies and landowners.

Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart welcomes Alexandra Asterlin as a shareholder in the firm's Sacramento office. Asterlin joins Ogletree Deakins from Palmer Kazanjian, where she was a partner. A litigator with two decades of experience, Asterlin handles class action and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims, along with single plaintiff litigation. She represents local and national businesses in courts throughout California and in matters involving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), and California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE). Asterlin will serve as a key new member of the firm's California Class Action and PAGA Practice Group, which launched this summer.
