A California judge in dozens of addiction lawsuits against social media sites admonished plaintiffs lawyers for creating their own leadership team, which she said was too big, given the prospect of early dismissal hearings.

About 100 cases, now in multidistrict litigation, allege that social media apps such as Facebook and TikTok caused addiction and mental health problems in adolescent users, some of whom committed suicide.
