The legal industry has undergone rapid and drastic change in the past three years. Many lawyers had to quickly adapt to remote work with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. After upending the traditional approach to the practice of law, professionals settled into the new reality only for the industry to then grapple with how to approach the return to the office. At the same time, the legal industry underwent a period of near frenzied hiring of lateral attorneys to meet the needs of clients and fill gaps left by departing attorneys.
