Beatty has joined as a partner in the commercial litigation practice in the Los Angeles office, adding to the group of recognized litigators on the West Coast. Beatty has trial and appellate litigation experience in both state and federal courts. His practice concentrates on finance, startups, "business divorces," entertainment matters, real estate, insurance issues, bankruptcy, trusts and estates, family disputes, employment, intellectual property and other business matters. He has represented clients in a range of industries including entertainment, travel and health care, as well as hedge funds and venture capital firms and pharmaceutical companies.
Goldberg Segalla added Sayeh Dayen to the firm's transportation group in Los Angeles. Dayen was previously with Kash Legal in Los Angeles. Dayen concentrates her practice on counseling and defending clients in a variety of civil litigation matters with a particular focus on the transportation and trucking industry. She has experience with general liability, transportation, catastrophic injuries/wrongful deaths, and premises liability matters. Dayen draws on previous experience defending insurance companies in insurance bad faith claims, as well as claims for personal injury, where she handled litigation from the inception of the lawsuit through mediations, trials and up to appeals.
