Apple was slapped with a digital privacy class action Thursday in California Northern District Court. The suit, brought by Ahdoot & Wolfson; Pollock Cohen; and the Shub Law Firm, alleges that Apple violates that California Unfair Competition Law by continuing to record and track user activity even after consumers change their device settings to prevent data sharing. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 5:23-cv-00397, Cima v. Apple Inc.
