Foley & Lardner announce the election of five California-based lawyers to its partnership, effective Feb. 1. The new partners include: Michael P. Calabrese, Nicholas Gross, Adam J. Hepworth and Jianing G. Yu of the Los Angeles office and Eric Chow of the Silicon Valley office. Calabrese provides counsel to institutional investors and government agencies, particularly pension funds. Gross has more than 10 years of experience as a commercial trial attorney, representing health care facilities and administrators, lenders, real estate developers and landlords as well as private and public entities in disputes and litigation in state and Federal courts throughout the country. Hepworth’s practice focuses on Medicaid and Medicare, internal audits and investigations, health privacy laws and compliance with health care fraud and abuse laws. Yu is an IP lawyer and member of the firm’s electronics practice. Chow has experience working with public and private mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, as well as other corporate transactions, with a focus on the Northern California market.

Armstrong Teasdale announced the addition of partner Julie O’Dell to the firm’s litigation practice group. As such, the firm will continue its westward expansion, adding an office in Orange County. O’Dell brings more than 20 years of experience that includes navigating California’s complex employment and labor laws, as well as managing class and collective actions and other complex litigation matters. She counsels and assists clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws, discipline and termination, requests for accommodation, and leaves of absence. O’Dell also represents clients against claims of wage and hour violations, including class and representative actions.
