Blank Rome announced that Travis K. Jang-Busby has joined the firm's Orange County and Los Angeles offices as a partner in the labor and employment practice group. With experience counseling clients on state and federal wage and hour law, he defends employers in high-stakes litigation. He joins from Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch where he was a partner in the labor and employment practice. Jang-Busby represents a range of companies—from startups to the Fortune 50—in labor & employment and commercial litigation. He devotes a large portion of his practice to representing employers in class action cases and matters arising under the Private Attorneys General Act.
Cox, Castle & Nicholson, a full-service law firm specializing in real estate in the United States, announced today that two attorneys have joined the firm as partners in the San Francisco office. Arielle Harris joins Cox Castle's land use team and Gordon Hart joins Cox Castle's environmental team. Harris joins Cox Castle from Miller Starr Regalia where she was a partner. Hart joins Cox Castle from Paul Hastings where he was a partner. Harris represents developers, landowners, and public agencies in connection with land use entitlements as well as environmental review and permitting for a range of residential, commercial and industrial developments as well as public infrastructure projects in California. Hart focuses on environmental and land use law and government advocacy. He specializes in transactional, permitting, enforcement, and litigation issues on behalf of real estate developers and owners, energy project developers and manufacturers.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
