Few firms with roots in the Golden State topped the record financial results that they had in 2021, while several experienced a shock in demand that contributed to dives in profits per equity partner and revenue per lawyer, as hiring activity remained robust.

Despite smaller revenue gains at many of the 15 Am Law 100 firms founded in California, most firms saw little change to their position on the Am Law 100, ranked by gross revenue.
