Instacart and food importer Del Destino-Atlanta Corporation were slapped with a consumer protection lawsuit on June 14 in California Superior Court for San Diego County over a non pareil capers product that the defendants manufacture and sell. The court case, filed by the Law Offices of Stephanie Sy on behalf of nonprofit Keep America Safe and Beautiful, pursues claims that the capers product contains toxic lead. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is Keep America Safe and Beautiful v. Del Destino-Atlanta Corporation.
