Albertsons was slapped with a wage-and-hour class action on June 22 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County. The suit was filed by ILG Legal Office on behalf of individuals employed by the defendant as transportation drivers who claim that they were not properly reimbursed for business expenses, were not paid for overtime hours worked and were often forced to incur unpaid time for COVID-19 screening checks. The suit also pursues invasion of privacy claims. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 23STCV14563, Sherman v. Albertson's LLC.
