John Eastman’s legal team asked California’s State Bar Court to delay his ongoing disbarment proceedings after he was identified as a co-conspirator in a federal indictment of former President Donald Trump.

In a 60-page filing dated Aug. 4, Eastman attorney Randall Miller cited the “parallel criminal investigation” being conducted by Special Counsel Jack Smith into efforts by Trump and his allies to derail the electoral vote count in the 2020 presidential election.
