Nike and other defendants were hit with a negligence and wrongful death lawsuit on Aug. 9 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County. The court case, filed by Carpenter & Zuckerman on behalf of the Estate of Jayren Bradford, contends that Bradford was shot and killed at a Nike raffle to win a pair of limited release sneakers. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 23STCV19025, Bradford v. Shoe Palace Corp.
