The Orange County District Attorney’s office on Friday filed felony murder charges against Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Ferguson in connection with the Aug. 3 shooting death of his wife at the couple’s Anaheim home.

The complaint, which includes the murder charge and two felony enhancements for use of a firearm, and a related bail motion allege Ferguson, 72, was drunk when he pulled a Glock .40 pistol from his ankle holster and shot his wife, Sheryl Ferguson, 65, in the chest at close range.
