Attorney James Mills was sued for legal malpractice on Aug. 10 in California Superior Court for Alameda County. The suit was filed by the Law Offices of Jon T. King on behalf of Zoltan Nagy, a professional dog trainer who retained the defendant to sue the governing body of a dog training competition for discrimination. The suit accuses Mills of failing to prosecute the lawsuit or respond to discovery requests, resulting in dismissal with prejudice; according to the complaint, Mills is currently facing disciplinary charges for malpractice in California, Oregon and Washington. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 23CV040436, Nagy v. Mills.
