The co-owner of a fashion house that clothes celebrity clients claims that reality TV star Erika Girardi, the estranged wife of disbarred Los Angeles attorney Tom Girardi, leveraged Secret Service connections to wrongly prosecute him for fraud and identity theft to recoup thousands of dollars amid the couple’s financial tailspin.

In a lawsuit Tuesday, Christopher Psaila of design company Marco Marco—whose clients include Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry—alleges that Erika Girardi gave him permission to charge her AMEX card for costumes for her performances and services starting in 2014. Then in November 2016, Girardi claimed he defrauded her of up to $900,000 in unauthorized credit card transactions, the complaint alleges. Psaila contends that he provided the singer with every piece of clothing and services charged to her credit card, which was under Tom Girardi’s account, according to the complaint.
