The County of San Diego and other defendants were hit with a civil rights lawsuit on Aug. 29 in California Superior Court for San Diego County. The suit was filed on behalf of Madison Meyer, who was hospitalized after being diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. According to the complaint, doctors suspected that Meyer's parents were fabricating symptoms and secretly installed cameras in Meyer's hospital room, leading to a court order removing Meyer from her parents' custody. The suit was filed by the Blumberg Law Group, the Law Offices of Richard H. Layon and the Law Offices of Shawn A. McMillan. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is Meyer v. County of San Diego et al.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
