A federal judge has sided with NetChoice in its motion for a preliminary injunction to halt California’s “Age Appropriate Design Code” from going into effect while litigation proceeds to challenge state law that imposes requirements on websites for the use, tracking and storage of information for those under 18.

U.S. District Judge Beth Labson Freeman of the Northern District of California issued an order Monday granting NetChoice’s motion for a preliminary injunction while its case against California Attorney General Rob Bonta is pending.
