Gov. Gavin Newsom on Thursday revealed his latest round of judicial picks, including two appointments to Northern California appellate courts.

Napa County Superior Court Judge Monique Langhorne Wilson was nominated to the First District Court of Appeal, Division One. Langhorne Wilson joined the Napa County trial court in 2006 as a court commissioner, becoming the first Black judicial officer in the county. Gov. Jerry Brown elevated her to judge in 2018, and she is currently supervising judge of the court’s criminal division.
