The Senate Judiciary Committee has voted to advance the nominations of a slate of U.S. District Court candidates from California, Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey and elsewhere who were nominated a second time after failing to win confirmation by the end of 2023.

The committee also advanced the nomination of Adeel Mangi for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit after a fiery debate over his involvement in a Muslim organization at Rutgers University.
