Several current students and the school’s alumni association filed suit against Golden Gate University for breach of contract and seven other counts, including the appointment of a receiver, due to the school sunsetting its J.D. program at the end of this academic year.

The complaint, filed in the Superior Court of San Francisco on Wednesday, alleges that the “pending closure of the Law School” is “due to poor leadership and a lack of transparency,” primarily by Golden Gate University’s President David Fike, who is also named as a defendant in the suit.
