Samsung Electronics, represented by Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer, has filed an antitrust complaint against Broadcom, alleging that the semiconductor manufacturer violated U.S. law by monopolizing the supply of critical components used in its Galaxy series smartphones, tablets and other high-end mobile devices.

The suit, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, San Jose Division, alleged that Broadcom blocked Samsung’s attempts to purchase electronic components from other manufacturers by withholding goods and services and forcing it into an exclusive dealing arrangement.
