Dovel & Luner has alleged in a spate of proposed class actions that three companies broke California’s False Advertising Law by displaying fake sale prices for products on their websites.

The Santa Monica plaintiffs firm filed proposed suits against Evry Jewels, Brooklyn Bedding and Frontgate in Los Angeles federal court in June. All three complaints argued that the retailers intentionally used deceptive phrases and font choices to dupe consumers into believing that regularly priced items were heavily marked down during limited-time promotions.
