Delta Air Lines was hit harder than most on July 19 when cybersecurity provider CrowdStrike pushed a defective update to millions of computers running Microsoft Windows, causing them to crash. The failed update disrupted Delta flights for days and cost the airline $500 million, the company’s CEO told CNBC.
