A hearing in a case litigating the blocked expansion of a nonprofit health care organization in Santa Ana has been scheduled for Sept. 23 before U.S. District Judge David O. Carter of the Central District of California.

Share Ourselves (SOS) is a federally qualified health center that operates clinics primarily serving low-income and medically underserved Hispanic and Latino communities in Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Santa Ana and Mission Viejo, California. It was originally founded in 1970 to serve migrant workers in Orange County and has maintained a clinic in Santa Ana, the El Sol Wellness Center, since 2010.
