Biotech startup Trilobio, which has gained recognition for using artificial intelligence to build fully automated robots for biologists, secured an injunction against a former executive in a trade secrets theft case last Thursday.

U.S. District Judge Jon S. Tigar of the Northern District of California granted a temporary restraining order Oct. 17 against Keoni Gandall, who founded competing venture Nanala LLC shortly after being fired from Trilobio.
