California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Thursday called the Legislature into special session to allocate money for expected legal challenges to the incoming Trump administration's policies.
Newsom said in a statement that he and state lawyers anticipate legal fights with the Republican president related to civil rights, abortion, the environment and immigration.
