Kathi Vidal, who announced she is stepping down from her role in Washington ahead of the change in administrations, will rejoin the AmLaw 200 firm’s litigation department in the Silicon Valley and Washington offices.

Kathi Vidal, the Undersecretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, will rejoin Winston & Strawn next month after she departs her role in the Biden Administration, the firm announced Monday.
Winston said Vidal will return to the firm on Dec. 16 and rejoin its litigation department as a partner in its Silicon Valley and Washington D.C. offices, and as a member of the executive committee.
