GrubHub has been hit with a proposed class action lawsuit that accuses the app-based food ordering and delivery service of funneling consumer data to TikTok parent ByteDance and contributing to a national security threat from China.

Pacific Trial Attorneys in Newport Beach filed the complaint, which alleged violations of California's "Trap and Trace" law under the California Invasion of Privacy Act, on Monday in the Superior Court for the State of California, County of Los Angeles. Counsel has not yet appeared for the defendant. Pacific Trial Attorneys declined to comment on pending litigation.
